No doubt this faucet is very beautiful. And it is expensive (over $500). But it is a quality faucet. It is pretty heavy in weight and well - made. It was super easy to install (less than 20 mins). You do need to buy supply hoses (not included). The faucet doesn't have any markings on it that indicates which position represents *hot" or "cold." The instructions do not mention anything on this either. Perhaps it's a personal choice? With a vessel sink similar to ours (round and tall) there is no splashing outside the vessel whatsoever (even at full blast.... and we have strong water pressure). I'm thinking maybe vessel sinks that are rectangular and not as tall might be the ones that are having over-aggressive splashing problems.
